Universal Orlando Resort Hotels
Universal Orlando Resort organizes its on-site properties into three official hotel tiers: the Signature Collection, Prime Value, and Value Inns & Suites.
While all 11 hotels grant you Early Park Admission (entering the parks up to one hour before the public), they vary drastically in price, amenities, transit options, and Express Pass perks.
The Signature Collection (Top-Tier / Luxury)
This represents Universal’s premium tier of full-service destination resorts. These properties feature upscale styling, expansive pool complexes, fine dining, and full-service spas.
The Express Pass Caveat: Only three of these hotels—Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, and Loews Royal Pacific Resort—include free Unlimited Express Passes for every room guest. The newer Universal Helios Grand Hotel (which features a private entrance into Epic Universe) and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort do not include free Express Passes.
Transportation: Complimentary water taxis and walking paths link the original Signature hotels to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and CityWalk.
Prime Value (Mid-Tier / Modern & Sleek)
The Prime Value tier represents the “sweet spot” for many travelers, combining polished comfort with moderate price points. These properties offer room quality comparable to a standard Marriott or upscale business hotel but strip away high-end sit-down dining in favor of modern, elevated food halls and chic lobby lounges.
Perks & Limits: Early Park Admission is included, but Express Passes are not.
Transportation: Connected to the theme parks via high-frequency, free shuttle buses.
Value Inns & Suites (Budget-Tier / Family-Focused)
This is Universal’s most affordable tier. These massive resorts are brightly themed and highly optimized for families, prioritizing high room capacities and relaxed poolside recreation over luxury amenities.

Perks & Limits: Includes Early Park Admission but excludes Express Passes. Standard rooms are highly affordable, and the tier is famous for cheap 2-bedroom suites that sleep up to six guests and feature kitchenettes.
Transportation: Fully serviced by continuous, free theme park shuttle buses.
